Welcome to Maternal and Perinatal Mortalities Notifications website
In March 2011 the funding partners* confirmed that the procurement for the Clinical Outcome Review, Maternal and Newborn Health would be discontinued. This decision was prompted by strategic changes in healthcare taking place across the United Kingdom and which the funding stakeholders agreed necessitated a review of the objectives of the Maternal and Newborn work to ensure the best foundation is created for the future.
Subsequently that an expert review panel has been set up to determine and establish the objectives and requirements of the Maternal and Newborn Health work across the United Kingdom, to ensure it meets stakeholder requirements and makes a positive and valued contribution to the quality and safety of patient care.
This site has specially created to enable the continuing collection of maternal and newborn deaths in the United Kingdom while the review process is undertaken. The data collected via this web site will be held in a central repository and be made available for future confidential enquiry and analysis as part of a revised maternal and newborn health clinical outcome review programme.
